What Back My Side stores, why it is needed, and how the public App Store data used by the product is handled.
What we store. We store account information needed to provide access, including your email address and basic authentication profile. If you add an app, we store the app identifiers and workspace choices needed to present its tracking view.
Public App Store information. App Store listing data and rankings may be processed to provide insights. Your account identity and private workspace choices are not made public by us.
Connected App Store accounts. If you choose to connect App Store Connect, we store your API credentials encrypted on our server and use them to read accessible app listings and send the metadata changes you explicitly confirm. We do not request your Apple password. Connected listing drafts and sync history are private to your Back My Side account and are not put into our shared public research cache. Disconnecting removes the active stored key, connected drafts and sync history; it does not revoke the key at Apple or change your App Store listing. You can also revoke the key directly in App Store Connect. Deleted data may remain in provider-managed backups until their retention periods expire.
Payments. Dodo Payments hosts checkout and processes payment details. We send your account email and an internal account identifier to associate your subscription with your account. We store provider customer, product, checkout and subscription identifiers, billing status, billing dates, trial redemption and webhook event identifiers to manage access and prevent duplicate billing. We do not store your full card details.
Analytics. We may use limited product analytics to understand how the service is used and make it more reliable. We do not sell personal information.
Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and its associated workspace information. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
